Bangkok - Note of advice to myself

- Try to catch a cab further away from the tourist attractions. Even crossing the road to catch a cab helps. There's a higher possibility that taxis across the road follow the metre (as oppose as charging a set exorbitant price)

- Catch the express boat to the King's palace. Its only 17 baht as opposed to 200 baht as charged by the tourist tour boats

- The minimum charge for a taxi is 35 baht. WHen travelling short distance, taking a tuk tuk maybe cheaper. Otherwise, take a taxi.

- Taxi drivers may insist that the meter stops running after 10 pm. That's a lie~! It's illegal and may be caught for their price fixing conduct.

- Catch the express airport bus from the airport to your destination. (150 baht) Its cheaper than catching a taxi unless youre travelling in a group. It's about a 45 minute bus ride into the city.

- Almost everything in Thailand is negotiable~! Including massages and even roadside food.
